I work best with those who wish to engage more fully with life or who are experiencing anxiety, stress, grief or loss rooted in the following:
Challenges of Change & Transitions
As we age, many of us experience events like retirement, job loss, career change, illness and the death of family and friends. Whether these changes are expected, sudden or slowly evolving, our past ways of coping sometimes seem inadequate. As a older adult who has moved into a new career later in life, I too face some of these challenges. Let me help you find ways to deal with change and consciously age to embrace life fully. See this article on the qualities of ‘conscious aging’ rooted in creativity.
Sober Curious - Recovery
Does ‘sober curious’ strike a chord for you? Are you questioning if you have a problem with alcohol and want to be able to ask that question without labels, stigma or shame? Maybe you have months or years of successful recovery (however you define it) and are curious about this ‘creative process’ approach. Or perhaps you are supporting a loved one, friend or colleague and need support yourself.
Let me guide you in exploring options. My work is not just about recovery but about how to live and thrive in the face of the challenges that life brings.
Climate Anxiety and Grief
We may have an intellectual understanding of the ‘climate crisis’ and the associated social/economic concerns we see and live. Some of us feel this profoundly and wonder how do we live in the midst of such daunting problems? Having a safe space to even voice our concerns, anxiety and grief is a first step.
I blend practices from eco-psychology, my work in education for sustainability and my training in art and expressive arts. For more information on climate distress read Rosemary Randall’s article on Climate Anxiety or Climate Distress? Coping with the pain of the climate emergency. Or, “It’s Time to Talk About Ecological Grief”.

Pricing: $100-$130 (Adjusted for session length and sliding scale available)
Payment: I accept e-transfer and credit cards.
Insurance: Some Employee Assistance and Insurance plans will cover Certified Canadian Counsellors (CCC). Please check with your plan to see what is covered.
